Is the Crypto.com Visa Card a credit or debit card?

The Crypto.com Visa Card is a prepaid card. Broadly speaking, prepaid cards are similar to debit cards. The difference is that debit cards are linked to your bank account, but prepaid cards need to be topped up. In our case, you can top up using bank account transfers, other credit/debit cards, or the Crypto Wallet.

How do I apply for a Crypto.com Visa Card?

The Midnight Blue Crypto.com Visa Card is available without the need for a Cardholder CRO Stake or CRO Lockup. To apply for our Ruby Steel, Royal Indigo, Jade Green, Frosted Rose Gold, Icy White, and Obsidian Crypto.com Visa Cards you need to stake or lock up CRO tokens for a period of 365 days. To participate in Cardholder CRO Staking or CRO Lockup: Sign up for a Crypto.com App account and complete our KYC verification. Purchase CRO tokens (the amount of CRO depends on the card tier you’re applying for). Deposit them into your crypto wallet in the App — if you buy CRO directly in the App, it will be deposited automatically. Finally, go to the ‘Card’ tab in the App, select your desired Crypto.com Visa Card, tap the ‘Stake CRO for 365 Days’ or ‘Lock Up CRO for 365 Days’ button, and follow the on-screen instructions. After that, simply wait for us to notify you when your card has shipped!

How do I redeem CRO rewards and purchase rebates?

All card rewards are paid in CRO and deposited into your Crypto Wallet in the Crypto.com App. CRO Rewards are instantly reflected with each eligible transaction. Purchase rebates are reimbursed to the USD equivalent, and the rebate cap is reset on the first day of each month. Rebates for Spotify and Netflix expenses will expire six months after card activation for users with Royal Indigo, Jade Green, and Ruby Steel Card tiers. Please visit the Crypto.com Card Rewards FAQs for full details.

How do I top-up my card?

You can top up your card using your Fiat Wallet, Crypto Wallet, or credit/debit card in the Crypto.com App. Go to the ‘Card’ tab, tap ‘Top Up’, and select your preferred method. Please visit our Help Centre for more information about how to set up your Fiat Wallet.

Which exchange rate will you use?

We have competitive exchange rates for both fiat and cryptocurrencies. The exact rates depend on your jurisdiction and card tier. We will provide all these details in the Crypto.com Visa Card holder Agreement when you apply for your card.

Are there any fees I should be aware of?

Information about fees and limits (i.e. free ATM withdrawals, interbank exchange rates, top-ups, etc.) can be found in the ‘Fees & Limits’ section under ‘Settings’ in the Crypto.com App. Fees vary by card tier, so be sure you’re checking the correct one.

Cardholders cannot load cryptocurrency onto their Crypto.com Visa Card. All cryptocurrency will be converted to the respective market's currency and can be loaded onto the Crypto.com Visa Card for use in purchase and ATM withdrawals.

Crypto.com has the sole discretion to modify the private members benefits and/or welcome offers at any time. Merchant rebates from Spotify and Netflix expire after six months upon card activation (card issuance for a virtual card) for new users with Royal Indigo, Jade Green, and Ruby Steel. Cardholders who have upgraded their Card tier or CRO stake will enjoy the merchant rebate benefit(s) offered with the new Card tier for six months starting from the date of the upgrade. Merchant rebate benefits will not expire after six months for cardholders upgrading to the Icy White, Frosted Rose Gold, or Obsidian Cards, for as long as the cardholder maintains one of these cards.

CRO Rewards are paid in CRO Token to your Wallet App. Transactions made under certain merchant categories or channels are excluded from the CRO Rewards program. Please visit FAQ for full details.

This offer is launched by Crypto.com independently and there is no partnership between Crypto.com and the merchants in this offer. Crypto.com has the sole discretion to modify this offer at any time.

As of 6 June 2024 00:00:00 UTC, Jade Green, Royal Indigo, and Ruby Steel Cardholders will only be eligible to receive merchant rebates from Spotify and Netflix for their first six months upon card activation. Thereafter, the rebate benefit will expire, and users will no longer receive reimbursements. Private Members with an Obsidian, Icy White, or Frosted Rose Gold Card will continue to enjoy ongoing merchant rebates with no expiry. Please visit the FAQs for full details.

NOTE:

For United States, Canada and Singapore users - Cardholders who maintain their CRO Card Lockup will continue to enjoy the benefits associated with their card, but

As of 6 Nov 2024 00:00:00 UTC, new Card Lockup Rates in Fiat will apply should the cardholder (1) upgrade their card tier or (2) unlock and relock their CRO Card Lock up at a later date.

Cardholders who lockup CRO for a card based on the new fiat-based rates will receive the exact amount of CRO back when they unlock.

Cardholders who upgrade their card tier or CRO lockup as of 6 Nov 2024, 00:00:00 UTC will enjoy the merchant rebate benefit(s) offered with the new card tier for six months starting from the date of the upgrade. In the event a cardholder downgrades their CRO lockup or card tier during the six-month merchant rebate benefit period, the validity period for the merchant rebate benefit(s) available on the new card tier will not be extended.

For European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Australia and Brazil users, as of 15 January 2024, 03:00 UTC, Cardholder CRO Staking will replace CRO Lockup for users who are eligible for Cardholder CRO Staking. Eligible cardholders need to accept the Cardholder CRO Staking Terms and Conditions in the Crypto.com App to participate in Cardholder CRO Staking and start earning Cardholder CRO Staking rewards.

Cardholders who are eligible for Cardholder CRO Staking, but opt not to participate in Cardholder CRO Staking will continue to enjoy card benefits such as spending rewards, airport lounge access and subscription rebates, but will not earn CRO Lockup rewards or Cardholder CRO Staking rewards.

CRO Lockup will continue to be offered to users who are not eligible for Cardholder CRO Staking. Cardholders will continue to enjoy card benefits such as spending rewards, airport lounge access and subscription rebates, and continue to receive weekly CRO Lockup rewards.
